These scripts are not my own work, but rather a collection of experience from my practice as a producer and drawn from many books on producership, production, dramaturgy and screenwriting. A number of passages are directly taken from these books because they were described there better than I would have done. These are in particular:

- Karol Griffith: The Art of Script Editing
- Linda Aronson: The 21th Century Screenplay
I am aware that this is the first script for a subject that is theoretically very difficult to grasp, and that individual producers' opinions on most things can vary greatly. Therefore, the script is not a guide or recipe for how to be a good producer, but rather an inspiration and overview of the problems that a producer will encounter in his practice.
